HERPACT LTD (“HerPact”, “we”, “us” or “our”) is building a platform to help women explore structured home co-ownership, including buyer readiness, compatibility and protected exit planning.

This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use and protect personal information when you use our website, join our waitlist, contact us, or take part in HerPact research or early product testing.

2. What information we collect

We may collect the following information when you join the waitlist, complete a form, contact us or interact with the website:

  • Your age band
  • Your target city or preferred buying area
  • Your current housing situation
  • Your deposit band
  • Your buying timeline
  • Your main barrier to buying
  • Your openness to co-buying
  • Your responses to readiness, compatibility or research questions
  • Your marketing consent preferences
  • Any messages, feedback or enquiries you send to us

We may also collect basic website and technical information, including:

  • How you found HerPact, such as referral source or campaign source
  • Website pages or forms you interact with
  • Waitlist events, such as form submitted
  • Basic device, browser or usage information
  • Consent records linked to your waitlist signup

3. Why we use your information

We use your information to:

  • Add you to the HerPact waitlist
  • Send waitlist confirmations and service updates
  • Understand buyer readiness and demand
  • Develop HerPact’s matching and readiness process
  • Improve the website and signup journey
  • Invite suitable users to research, testing or early access
  • Send marketing updates where you have opted in
  • Keep records for legal, compliance and data protection purposes

4. Our lawful bases

We rely on different lawful bases depending on how we use your information:

  • Legitimate interests: to manage the waitlist, understand demand, improve HerPact and develop the product.
  • Consent: to send optional marketing emails or contact you for optional research where consent is required.
  • Steps before entering into a service relationship: where you ask to join the waitlist or explore future HerPact services.
  • Legal obligation: where we need to keep records or respond to legal or data protection requirements.

5. Marketing

We will only send marketing emails where we have the appropriate permission.

You can unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time by using the unsubscribe link in our emails or by contacting privacy@herpact.com.

You can still receive important service messages even if you unsubscribe from marketing.

6. Who we share information with

We may share personal information with trusted providers who help us operate HerPact, including:

  • Supabase, for waitlist data storage and event tracking
  • Resend, for waitlist and email delivery
  • Gmail/Google Workspace, for ordinary business email
  • Website and app-building providers
  • Professional advisers, such as legal, accounting or technical advisers
  • Regulators or authorities where required by law

We do not sell your personal information.

If HerPact later introduces any changes we will update this Privacy Policy and only share information where there is a clear lawful basis and where it is necessary and transparent.

7. How long we keep information

We keep personal information only for as long as needed.

As a guide:

  • Waitlist information may be kept while HerPact is developing and reviewed after 24 months of inactivity.
  • Marketing consent records may be kept while you remain subscribed and for a reasonable period afterwards.
  • Data protection request or complaint records may be kept where needed for legal, regulatory or accountability reasons.

We may keep anonymised or aggregated information that no longer identifies you.

8. Your rights

You have rights under UK data protection law. These may include the right to:

  • Correct inaccurate information
  • Ask us to delete your information
  • Restrict how we use your information
  • Object to certain uses of your information
  • Ask for a copy of your information in a portable format

9. Data protection complaints

If you have a concern about how HerPact uses your personal information, contact privacy@herpact.com with the subject line “Data protection complaint”.

Please include your name, the email address you used with HerPact, a clear description of your concern and what you would like us to do.

We will review your complaint and respond as soon as reasonably possible.

You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office, the UK data protection regulator, at ico.org.uk.

10. Cookies and tracking

HerPact currently uses basic website and waitlist tracking to understand how people find and use the website, including Supabase event tracking.

If we introduce non-essential analytics, advertising pixels or more advanced cookies in future, we will update this Privacy Policy and provide any required cookie choices.

11. No professional advice

Website content and waitlist communications are for general information only and are not legal, financial, mortgage, tax, investment or property advice.

12. Changes to this Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy as HerPact develops. The latest version will always be available on our website.
